He breathes in, deep as he can accept the air, and lets it out very slowly.
When Tezcatlipoca turns back to look at him, Matt's fully slumped to the ground and is sitting cross-legged, head tipped back, jacket pooled around his legs about an inch from indecency. When he hears Tezcatlipoca's voice, Matt returns sharply to earth ... as it were. He's smiling, but his eyes are just the slightest bit wobbly. ]
