[Alice doesn't seem to shy away from eye contact at least. It's a shame the poor man asked her opinions and reasoning on an issue though given how much she loves to ponder things and talk about them.]
I do understand that everyone has desires. Whether it is material or simply to see their family do well there is no shame in wanting things. Yet it troubles me that Zenith totes rewards as a reason to join them. If we are to be together as one and build a new world then shouldn't it be for your allegiance to others and that connection? Bringing others in with the promise of rewards can build walls in time and lead to corruption.
In Meridian I can't help but think if we all look backwards to the worlds we have potentially lost rather than forward to where we are now we may lose the ability to connect with one another. No faction matters so much to me that I would be willing to forget those who don't believe as I do aren't as human as me and as worthy as me.
[By now she's got a hand on her chin. She's clearly been mulling on her feelings here but now that she's voiced things out loud she smiles a little to herself.]
I suppose I'm looking less at how the factions suit me and how they could impact everyone though.
[That's Alice though, attempting to be some great equalizer in the end.]
