[ Amos nods as he absently works to carve off a slice of pancake with the side of his fork. If they are getting a bit soggy now, then he can probably eat a bit while walking, no knife needed — and indeed, it works. He's able to separate triangular pieces from the main stack, stab them all with his fork and pop them in his mouth as he nods at everything Akechi has to say. ]

Yup, yup, and yup. Plenty of Zenites have asked her to retrieve someone for them. I mean, it's just their shard. It isn't the entire person; not everyone can just... show up here, I don't think. Pretty sure it's dumb luck who's able to stay and who isn't, [ he shrugs, ] but at least then you're able to have someone who's important to you with you, right? You can keep them safe until we have a new world.

[ Or at least he thinks that's the logic; Amos has never asked for anyone's shard for his own sake. Never would. A part of him has always been fully, purely Zenith — ready to leave the past in its entirety behind, continue moving forward only.

He goes to work at his next bite of pancakes. ]

But yeah, I don't think there's much more anyone can do than that. I mean, I've died a couple of times here, so it's possible to come back on an individual basis. You feel like shit for a couple of days after, but it really isn't a whole thing. Bringing back entire universes, though? Pretty big difference between that and the occasional person here and there.

[ He huffs out a little sigh before going for his next bite of pancakes — Meridian sure are delusional, aren't they? It's almost kind of sad, if he had the capacity to think of it that way. ]
