[The fact that anyone would rather stay in an entirely alien world never even occurred to Jade. Whatever circumstances someone had that would lead them to such a decision would make sense if they were the type to believe their worlds were better off remade entirely, but... was that an option back then...?

[Jade shakes her head, before grabbing the scroll and standing back up again. She's had a headache since all of this started and thinking about it now wasn't doing the pain in her head any favors.

[Just as she's about to pass the scroll over, she freezes. There's that word again...]

Right. The Oracles. I've been hearing 'bout those quite a bit.

[It's probably nothing to do with her. At least, not in the way she originally assumed. After all, "Prophet" had other meanings in her world as well. But still, it prompts her to be a little more careful with her words, and just what she decides to share with strangers about where she came from.

[Then she realizes she might be acting a little too careful, as she realizes she's just... been staring at the other woman for several seconds.]

Sorry. Guess I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of... this. [She gestures vaguely at their surroundings with her free hand. Though she's been pretty good at containing her emotions, she feels like she's on the verge of losing her shit more often than not.

[But the implication that she hasn't quite yet dedicated herself to one side or the other is still there. In her experience, it's never wise to throw in your lot until you have all the facts -- or enough to make an informed decision.]
