NAME:Yuri Leclerc CANON: Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes FACTION | ASPECT: Meridian | Harbinger
GIVE US A BLURB ABOUT THEM!: Yuri is a man who was born to extreme poverty in a country where food scarcity is an eternal struggle. After narrowly surviving a plague that ravaged his country for years, Yuri set out into the world and clawed his way up with two goals in mind: supporting his mother and saving even one person who needed it. This took him down a very unpleasant, decidedly criminal road, and with time, Yuri's aspirations and influence only grew.
He seeks to change the world, that no one should have to die from poverty as he nearly did. As so many around him had. Yes, Robin Hood but make it darker, sadder, and less safe for work: that's Yuri. Above all, Yuri's tenacious man. He leverages his looks, his charm, and his wits toward achieving his ends...
And he's determined to get back home with his friends, having faith it's still out there. Ironically? This crimelord's rather chivalrous.
GENERAL PLANS: Working alongside fellow Meridian Harbingers among others, Yuri's in the midst of plots to try and recover lost footing in Kowloon. It's an uphill, longterm battle to be sure with a lot to work out. The short version? Building their own sussy proxy service.
In terms of Yuri's personal growth, the areas he'll hopefully grow in are trusting and relying on others. He's fiercely independent and seldom truly leans on those around him.
EVENT SPECIFIC PLANS: It's been Yuri's hope that they could figure out whatever greater truths exist regarding this place before hostilities got out of hand, but here they are. Seeing as Zenith has thrown the first punch, and as a collective will endanger civilians as a distraction, Yuri will prove more ruthless in targeting Zenites than he ever has been. Anyone he can't dissuade he will attempt to dissipate. His class is assassin for a reason, so if you want a nasty injury or death, Yuri might just be your guy.
Alternatively if Zenites far outclass him in strength and he knows it he will attempt to use terrain against them. Yuri has experience in siege warfare, and is the erstwhile heir of a territory in which one of Fódlan's major forfitications is housed. He's a much fiercer opponent when he's on the defensive.
For those in Meridian or clearly looking out for civilians: Yuri will assume a supporting role. He's a skilled healer and field medic and has in recent months gotten rather good at collaborative use of magic.
At some point I want him to truly need someone to save his buns, because as cunning as he can be, he's still a reckless ye olde from chivalryland.
CR WISHES: Yuri's been here for a while, but I'd still say give me anything. But for some specific thoughts... As an emotionally guarded man, and one who's deficient at putting himself in others' hands, I'd love to be able to cultivate CR that encourages him to let others in more. Whether that ends well or poorly for him, who can say? I'm open to either. People Yuri can plot, collaborate, and train with are all great too. Open to negative CR and butting heads over viewpoints as well.
For his part, Yuri can be a supporting comrade or a menace of an opponent. He's naturally inclined to look out for others, his caretaking tendencies often manifesting in the form of cooking ridiculously tasty food. Yuri comes from a background with mixed company and easily accepts differences of belief and customs. If he comes to care for someone, he'll look out for them. On the other hand if they're on not so friendly terms he can range from flippant to willing to slip some poison in their food to make a point. Or out of spite. Don't cross his people, maybe.
