Ryouma is foolishly holding out hope that he doesn't have to take a harsher stance with Zenith than his willingness to kill them if provoked, especially since some Zenites aren't automatically downvoting worlds, which he hopes might even tempt some people to Meridian. He'd be willing to believe Akechi is a more moderate Zenite, and he will even be super nice to him so I hope Akechi feels bad about it later. (:

I will say that Ryouma would try to kill him after he did it, but I am willing to find a reason why Akechi gets away if you'd rather he survive the encounter! Maybe they're cutting it close to the end of their time in a world, and then the timer expires, and they end up yeeted into different sections of the next world and never run into each other again. Or anything else! I have literally no other plans set in stone~
