[ It's a more encouraging answer than they've heard from some of the other individuals around— some that they've run in to have flat out told them that they know that what the Zenites say is true. But this person is in contrast to a viewpoint like that. Figures that there'd be such uncertainty surrounding both sides. Otherwise, why even have two sides at all, if the answer is obvious? Nebulous as the fate of their worlds is, not knowing for sure either way at least puts off the burden of coping with whatever the outcome is for longer.

A cautious optimism... they're not sure if they can manage that. But they can at least remain in the center between the two extremes for a limited time, if only to avoid acknowledging either side. ]

Crona wouldn't know; while they're not particularly trusting of others due to a general sense of paranoia, they also find it difficult to stand up to and question others, particularly those with authority. If Yima and Cyrus will be the ones providing them all with room and board, and who allegedly saved their souls to begin with, all the more reason for them to hesitate being openly suspicious about them, purely out of habit.
