ii - let's say highstorm!

[ Now see, here is the thing. Someone like Diluc stands out. Maybe it's the red hair, or maybe it's the fact that someone with an unblinking eye knows exactly who this is. It helps that he's had a nice little part of Kaeya's memories beared open to him, and he knows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the red-haired man that had barely spoken to anyone at the event earlier in Highstorm, was absolutely someone of note.

So he'd kept an eye open (lol lmao) for the sight of him afterward, not willing to approach during the gathering -- but Diluc is free to notice the weight of an eye on him, watching from the shadows. If it glows from the shadows, well, all the more intimidating, yes? Silco himself left soon after (did he feel angry?) but resolved to find the boy later, and figure out what his presence meant. (For Kaeya? No, he'd drawn a line in the sand, hadn't he? That Kaeya was merely a protégé, and he had spoken that into existence. There was no going back from that, was there?)

He couldn't help but meddle, though. He would talk to Kaeya... later. He had no doubt that the boy would seek him out, but when Silco stepped into the bar from the bitter cold -- and happened to see Diluc sitting there, and that was his name, he remembered -- he stepped forward to the bar with meandering steps. Indirect.

Although... the force of his unblinking gaze was obvious, from across the room, until he stood next to Diluc, smelling of stale, foul cigars, and the lingering scent of... something else (the lingering smoke of countless other intoxicating substances hung on him like a second skin these days) before he spoke up and ordered a whiskey from the bartender.

Casually, tipped his head to look at the other man, a smirk.

Ah, you're new, are you not? I saw you at one of the parties.

[ A pause, and he took a sip of his newly-arrived drink. Noted what the man had for himself. It did not look alcoholic. His tone was idle as he spoke, borderline on friendly, although with Silco, there was always the air of something dangerous there, like balancing on a knife's edge. ]

Settling in okay?
