Well, I am certainly working on becoming learned, I shall say. I have been here but a few months, so not all of Kenos’s mysteries are known to me, but. I do try to be helpful where I can.
[ He gives a little inclination of his head to the creature as a joke mostly to himself. Information is more along the usual lines of what he provides. People come to Kenos with questions, and so if he can answer them and be helpful, it cultivates a more positive reputation. It’s an important currency for his needs, no matter how far down the line he believes he may need to use it.
He doesn’t miss the eyes on his hand, and he considers having it simply return to its human appearance as a flourish to draw further question, but it’s quickly forgotten. He gives a little nod as Bondrewd calls himself a scientist, but the further explanation is far, far beyond what he expects. Sebastian has heard of many worlds here in Kenos at this point, chatting with people who lived among the stars or in places where magic was even more commonplace than here. But this story—It’s both fantastic and familiar.
He breathes out a soft laugh that’s lightly incredulous, but there’s a simple, delighted surprise in the notes of it. ]

He believes the next time he speaks to Lady Yima, he’ll have to compliment her on either her good luck or her good taste. ]

[ He pulls the handkerchief away now that he finds his dark hand properly cleaned, but as he does so, his hand has return to its previous quality with no further flourish than the quickness of it. Perfectly human, if gloved in leather and still spotted with some viscera. ] And do forgive me for laughing. It was not at your expense! I was merely very surprised to hear something familiar, in a way. It is... rather complicated, I shall put it simply, but my home was a place that bears some resemblance to your Abyss by the sounds of it.
