[ Sebastian nods first with a correction on his tongue that he fully believed what Bondrewd explains. It’s a lead in to explain those delightful coincidences since they are something Sebastian is quietly fascinated by, but instead, he’s taken aback. ]
I— Adorable?
[ SHY???? Sebastian loves compliments and praise, true, but this shade of them is not one he receives… Ever. Especially not after revealing parts of his demonic nature. His surprise is so genuine that he’s about as close to flustered as he gets, and it has him raising his (clean) hand to cough a gentle little ahem into it as a gentleman regaining his composure. ]
It is not shyness, exactly. More practicality, for it is something that tends to be… disagreeable, I shall put it politely.
[ It’s the sort of sight that was nothing short of horrific in the mortal realm he visited, since it was otherwise so normal that Sebastian’s existence being proven at all was something that could drive men mad. It wasn’t so in Kenos, but still, it was generally better for him to keep his fully human appearance. He supposes he shouldn’t be surprised, considering Bondrewd’s own, but… Adorable, really?
Not that he has a problem with allowing the curiosity, even so. As Sebastian holds his hand out to Bondrewd, it shifts back to the clawed appearance. His palm is also up because the claws are razor-sharp and he’s careful with them. Under closer scrutiny, its oddity is also much more apparent. It’s smooth and firm like a carapace, and even has a light shine to it like one, but it moves as if it were leather. Though humanoid, his long, elegant fingers are just a little too thin and taper into claws that look to be the same material but are sharp enough to cut through things even unintentionally, hence his care. It’s not biologically based at all. It’s something impossible and ethereal, inherently. ]
Considering your area of research, I suppose it should not be, but interest is simply not the reaction I am used to in the slightest.
