Trying to summarize all that has come to past in the time he spent at both Horos and Kenos is almost an impossible task, and so he has no idea how to proceed when Diluc finally asks him how long it's been. The question itself, at surface value, is simple enough — a simple number and nothing more — and yet trying to explain everything else in between is what makes it more complicated than it really is.
So he starts with the easier topic first: ]
