but her breath catches as cassian sends one last look her way — one that's all him — and for an isolated moment, things don't seem so horrible. a smile can't help but tug on her own mouth to reflect his, and after he turns away, she finds herself leaning into the space he'd left behind, as if tugged there by gravity.
