[ Amos inclines his chin slightly in acknowledgement; well, if Marc's wearing this much white to be seen, then he's doing a really good job. And if it's to be seen in the moonlight, considering where they are, the nature of Highstorm's environment compared to Springstar's... well, he's doing a really good job.

Hell, there's damn near a sense of camaraderie it brings. That it feels like Marc is here to stay — that they're both Exalts — there's a natural inclination on Amos' part to feel open with Marc. Friendly. Welcoming. There's no reason they shouldn't get along if he's Zenith, right? So they'll get along. That's really all he needs; if Marc wants to elaborate then he will, and if he doesn't, then... there are a couple of things Amos won't elaborate on regarding himself. So that's fair if others would rather keep things close to the vest.

Satisfied, and absorbing Marc's follow-up answer, Amos stands with it for a moment before dipping his head, huffing out a somewhat sympathetic sigh. ]

I hear ya. [ Or, he's heard as much as Marc cares to divulge, which he figures isn't all that different from him. Sometimes you're just poorly socialized through no real fault of your own. ] It's the same with me sometimes. Don't exactly mean to; just don't always realize what I'm doing. Difficult personality's not a bad way of putting it.

[ Except that's more a passive self-loathing coming from his end. Amos knows he's broken as a person, knows he operates in a way most others don't, and deals with it by just carrying on, because that's all he can do. Sometimes it causes offence. He doesn't mind.

He gives a little shrug. ]

Things aren't so bad here, though. I mean, way I see it, we're all each other's people here. You can rub someone else the wrong way — [ Silco is literally right here — ] but as long as you've got their back and they've got yours, it's all kinda secondary. That matters more than anything else.

[ It's a simplistic message, bordering on naive, but delivered with a basic earnestness. For better or worse, it's what Amos does believe — as long as you're a Zenite I'll protect you, and that's that.

Nothing about Marc's personality would say difficult to him, though. Hell, they're getting along just fine right now. Whatever it is can't be that a big deal. ]
