[ The narrowed eyes, the tighter grip are noted, Amos tilting his head slightly as he takes Diluc's mannerisms in, watching him. He stays relaxed, though, as he meets Diluc's gaze; comfortably at ease, because he's fairly confident he isn't actually going to do anything to him. Not here. Not when they're just talking.

He lets Diluc's words hang between them for a moment, nothing changing in his expression, in his posture. Amos just watches him, waiting to see what might come next — but his words, his conviction, really do say all that needs to be said as far as he's concerned.

He nods. ]

I get that. I'd be the same way. [ He punctuates it with another drink, the beer in his glass slowly but steadily decreasing, before offering a soft huff of a laugh when coming up for air. ] Kind of does make it my business a little bit, since I care about him, too. Not like you, pretty sure — [ he doesn't have anyone here he goes further back with than a year — ] but I'd do just about anything for him too. So you don't gotta worry about me.

[ He says it like his word alone should be good enough, but Amos does mean what he says, and doesn't really have any immediate way of proving it, so... yeah, to him, it's good enough. He leans forward a little, resting a forearm on the bartop. ]

So, how're you liking Highstorm?

[ You know. The place Kaeya lives, and therefore the place it seems like Diluc should end up, if his devotion does run that deep. Where else would he go? ]
