I do not mind a challenging atmosphere. The things I do are for the betterment of all, no matter how they may come to view me. Freedom is made by those who pursue it, not given to us as scraps of permission.

There is a real sense that though Silco bucks under propriety and righteousness, they are — inconsequential, to Bondrewd. It's certainly not enough to turn him from Meridian, the way it might turn others. In fact, he asks easily: ]

[ If Meridian is so repugnant, and this is how Silco prefers to speak of them, he expects an equally sour opinion of Zenith. ]
