[ He steps up onto the stoop and with an excuse me closes the umbrella to free up his hand a bit. He reaches into his jacket to grab a small ring of keys, then unlocks and opens the door. The immediate view is a narrow hallway with stairs leading up, but after setting the umbrella by the door, he steps into the first doorway to lead to a parlor. The decor is decidedly dark and sumptuous, a stylish area with a several plus chairs and a small grand piano. It’s a perfect spot for entertaining, at least as a Victorian would consider it. He sets her at a chair and then starts to remove his own coat, ever proper. ]
