[unfortunately diluc is rich as hell and wanted for nothing growing up. even during his four year revenge tour when he left with nothing but his claymore and his clothes on his back, teyvat does not have such...sharp class divides. the level of poverty silco has witnessed is not one diluc can even imagine. unfortunately, one cannot avoid what one does not know exists.

You are correct- such a claim is at best idealistic. At worst manipulation to deter any opposition. [you won't catch diluc defending the decision, as much as he will benefit from it eventually.]
