[ Arguably, Set is not a bad teacher. He is stern and extreme in method, and often prefers to allow others to draw a thoughtful conclusion about the exercise — but, he is not a taskmaster without a purpose. Perhaps that is why his right hand bears the dark, spoke-wheel sign of the Savant. Somewhere on Midna's body, she will find the sign of her own Aspect too — a curious subject he has interest in, but not the time to spare towards. ]

Neither will ever frame it as an order. Only an end they wish to pursue, that you are meant to freely lend your talents to — that is the first thing you must know. Never will you be commanded, only asked. And effectively so.

[ Midna's personality is strong, but would she be able to refute a humble request that she guide her lessers effectively? That she gather an entourage and command it in a direction that best supports Meridian or Zenith, while they make it appear solely hers? Arguably, Zenith's leader is better at that — and Meridian's leadership is, intriguingly threatening itself at this time. Not forever, if he has his way! ]

I could find satisfaction in either Meridian or Zenith's ranks, actually. That I ally with those who seek the restoration of the world is a matter of our goals aligning. I lend my force to them because I am a god of war, and I must do my best to wage a proper war. I have been asked to occupy territory, support the people with my presence and divinity and — honestly, I know I am essential and useful. I am necessary, and I do not like people with lacking conviction.
