[The sense of urgency and the discomfort of her fingers scrabbling for the feeling of anything solid amidst the earth is sensation enough to keep her oblivious to the rest of her surroundings until a voice from behind her very abruptly tears her attention away from her task. She sits back on her knees, casting a glance over her shoulder and looks up… and up to find someone very large and odd-looking standing over her.
There’s a yelp of surprise as she stumbles back from her kneeling position, the fur on her tail standing on end as she swings one hand in the air vaguely in his direction. Even setting aside that she hadn’t heard this very big guy approach, she more importantly hadn’t felt him either. And the instinctive pull she had made at her telekinetic Arts yielded… nothing.
There is something that feels very lonely about that, for some reason.
But regardless, this strange blue man didn’t seem like he was intending to pose a threat. It would have been so easy to attack her when she was distracted, but he hadn’t. That has to mean something, right? And he had—he had said something, hadn’t he?]
I’m— [She blinks up at him.] I need to find something. I must have dropped it when I crawled out.
