[Fal-Il paused at his rambling monologuing being interrupted, and turned to peer down at the humanoid that had spoken. In a quick glance over, he had catalogued and memorised their appearance, and decided that this one was definitely a psionic lunatic in some way. There was just too much purple. In his ever wise-words: if it's purple, it's psionic.]

Well, sure, obviously, but what do they need these little zealots for? You don't need all of them to be brainless devotees bleating their cult's bottom line - from the looks of it, the local population fulfil that function well enough on their own. No, no, no, they need new, fresh genetics from other worlds for a reason. That's always how it goes, right?

[The Elders had been the same. They had already perfected the art of making slavishly devoted grunts leashed to their psionic network by just cloning the poor schmucks and applying the brainwashing thumbscrews when they were still in the tank. They didn't need to play the delicate, long game of subverting humanity over a period of decades to a state of semi-domestication to get more zealots. Nope, they had wanted something far more specific from them... and Fal-Il got the same sense here.

That 'Yima' had fucking Elder vibes pouring out of every pore. He felt an instinctive, visceral disgust and hatred towards her because of it.]

'Organs' was being a little flippant, but I bet there's something intrinsic to us that they desire. Maybe, in fact, something to do with these little soul jars we've found superglued to our bodies? Still debating whether this is a better or worst way to store a soul...

[The Sarcophagus had been big, bulky and, more importantly, immovable, but it also meant that if he got blown up or vaporised (which had happened more than he'd like), it didn't stop his resurrection since it was hundreds of miles away in a fortified stronghold, not carried on his body. In comparison the shards seemed a little... unsafe.]
