Nosy creature that she is, Nyskie has asked around plenty, but all anyone has been able to tell her is that they’re powerful objects (or entities?) both factions covet in order to change reality.

As they reach the buffet table where the punch is, Nyskie reaches over to grab a cup, standing on her tip-toes and accidentally knocking several of the empty ones over with a little 'oops!' as she leans over the table. It’s a little conspicuous, and she hastens to re-stack the unused cups neatly in their places — but only with one hand, since the other is still hidden by her body, emptying her flask into the punch bowl.]
