[The Tree isn’t as frequent of a pit-stop for Gavial as it once had been. Once the Blight business had been taken care of and the big thing had gotten back into better health like the rest of Kenos, it didn’t feel quite as urgent. And, well, she’s had plenty else to occupy her time with as it is.
There’d been rumors over the last few days of a trickle of new faces popping up once again. And where there are a few, there are usually more with this kind of thing. She figures it’s worth a sweep to see if there are any stragglers, and more importantly, it’d be worth checking in on the Tree again for once.
Frankly, she hadn’t actually expected to run into any new Shard-bearers while there. So the sound of hurried—and agitated—digging from one of the nearby root-encased chambers is a surprise. She abandons her arboreal observations and makes her way over to investigate, steps quick.
And what she is greeted with is a demand. But for what it’s worth, Gavial does stay put, though her crocodile tail is twitching with a bit of agitation behind her.]
