That's why you stalk them and watch them encounter multiple unusual circumstances, which then lets you build a profile on their mental robustness, their instinctual responses, their habits and tics and yadda yadda, which then lets you plan ahead for a suitable ambush or a fun little hunt across a battlefield of your choosing.
